    National Waitlist.

Apparently, WP knows who to appoint from your district to take your MOC's slot. This situation does seem a little tricky. You may want to speak to them directly.

    National Waitlist.

On the NWL just means that if you're finally appointed, you're not going to take any of your nominator's quota. MOC's often nominate more applicants than the actually slot(s) they have. So if they have 1 slot, they can nominate max 10 applicants. Out of the 10, 1 will be appointed using the...

    chances to WP

I think the native indian part will help you. 2009 WP only had a handful of NI.

    Waiting list

You have a good point. But I still honestly think it isn't all that bad. This year they are pretty careful. They are probably waiting to see the whole picture before setting a threshhold.

    Waiting list

I think the NWL is for people who are not chosen to fill the nomination quota. For instance, if you're number 2 in you district that has one slot, the number 1 guy will get that, you're on the NWL. I read that each year, WP takes at least 150 people from the NWL. My son was on the NWL last...

    USMA Engineering

We visit USNA often as it's nearby. I often see cars parked illegally. One time I saw a Jeep with emergency lights on, parked at a marked No Parking area just outside of their Barracks for about 20-30 min. Then a couple students came out and drove it away. I didn't see any kind of emergency...

Am I behind in completing my applciation requirments?

IMO you are on the right track. Like the above post said, the earlier the better. If you are looking to get an LOA, you should complete everything you can control, physical tests, statements, and the recommendation letters ASAP. If, however, your SAT/ACT scores/GPA are little bit low, and you...

DS is home, slept for almost 24 hours

Son arrived home from the Labor Day break. Had a meal and slept for almost 24 hours without waking up. He looks in very good shape. He walks, eats, and just behaves differently. I am impressed how much a person can change in a few short months at WP. :thumb:

    my chances

USMA sees SAT/ACT scores highly, maybe more so than GPA. DS had low GPA of 3.2. But his good ACT scores got him in to Class 2014. So I know it's very important.

    Usma round 3

Persistence will help you. Did you find out any reasons what went wrong the last two times, particularly last year? I know last year was very difficult to get in.

Try ACT as DL posted. My son scored much better in that than SAT.

    Age Requirement Dilema

I agree with the above post that they will look at your application highly next year. I were you I would still apply this year. Contact them on the side. But let them reject your application because of your young age. Don't stop the application once you find out the requirement. Let that...

    Age Requirement Dilema

Age requirements are pretty tight. There are several cases when someone exceeds the upper age limit. In these cases, the answer were no. But you case is the opposite. You will "grow into their requirement" rather than out. I would discuss this with the admissions, not just an officer, but...
