You don't need to know about sailing to work on a deep draft ship! But if you want to learn sailing, there will be a class, the ability to check out small boats, and sailing teams/club. KP will teach you everything you need to know and much more if you are willing and ready! Go for it...

On average, how many of the wait listed candidates get an offer? I Imagine admissions calculates a certain amount to ensure a full class, but not sure what the data shows from previous years.

Hopefully you have called admissions and spoke to someone. They are still reviewing files, my DS (also from CA) called 3 mornings ago to check and they said his file was getting prepped to be reviewed and he should hear something in about 2 weeks.

Still waiting from San Pedro. Hope to hear something soon.

I wouldn't stress so much about the numbers... Kings Point is not a well known school to those students from states that are land locked....so many appointments from those land locked states go unused and are redistributed to other deserving nominees from other states.

Yes...still waiting for a decision. I contacted the admissions officer on the portal (by email) and he responded by saying when the application would be reviewed by admissions board. Unfortunately, they have 2 more weeks of boards...and my review isn't until the last week of March, and results...

I called this morning, and they indicated that they will still issue appointments without 7th semester grades...so you should be ok...also, they have very few data entry folks updating/entering the data....so it will not show up on the portal very quickly.

The other academies have a report date of 29Jun posted as the report in date for incoming class of 2019 fourth classmen...is it the same date for USMMA?
