I didn’t go to SS and I’m about to graduate in May from USAFA. Just try to go visit Usafa before I Day to get a feel for the place. Sometimes, based on how well you do at SS then you have a better chance of being accepted to Usafa. However, you have already been accepted so that doesn’t matter...

I would actually suggest going to as many summer seminars as possible because each school is different

You can attend both of them. There’s no rule saying you can’t go to two different academies. I attended summer seminar at Usafa and at coast guard and did candidate visits to navy.

For clothing, bring a jacket and jeans and a sweatshirt. It will be very cold on the tzo and at the Air field.

I host a lot of FVE’s (unfortunately on stand by for this one) but it’s really helpful for people who are interested in usafa. You get to attend classes, go to the Air field, see the special classes, go to the gym, live in the dorms with your host, see how a Cadet day really is, eat mitches...

And if your not sure about back up plans or haven’t had the chance to really take a look at the schools, sign up for summer seminars, admissions visits, candidate visits, etc.

I am a senior at Usafa and can honestly say that this place was my first choice, but all of my back up schools were other academies or rotc. I could have gone where ever I liked (sometimes regret choosing sa over rotc) but in the long run this will be better. I’ve learned a lot in my 4 years...
