How is medical insurance handled during Sea Year? USMMA? Shipping Company? Private? Parents? Simply "keeping my insurance", which is really me as a depedent on my parents policy, may not be an option. Thanks

Wow, Sure seems like this is something deserving a change in policy. In my humble opinion, it would be equitable to provide consistent helathcare,federal service credit and compensation across all of the service academies regardless of whether they are attached to DOT,DOD, or Homeland...

Received the official blue folder and very impressive documentation yesterday. I am humbled, honored, excited, nervous etc. etc. etc. The Academy will be my first choice. The paperwork will be signed and returned as "accepting" Please keep me in your thoughts. Go Mariners!
