Right, but is there any likelihood that I will get a various combat position in comparison to a desk job? For example, many pilots are being sidetracked with UAV's. Am I in a similar situation; meaning, is there a high chance of being sidetracked for an administration/desk job?

If I had the option, I would definitely do the Prep school. My counselor said that I did not receive a direct appointment because of the number of applicants and that I did not receive an offer to the preparatory school because I was over-qualified.

Just spoke with my counselor. I was recommended for direct admission but not admitted because other candidates in OH-15 had slightly stronger profiles. Overqualified for prep, unfortunately.
