AF not rated. Graduated this year so already pushing 7 months. Hopefully they tell early next year

Based on experience or any information, how long can it take for the graduate to get first assignment? Also, can it take months? Years? Any limit after which commitment can be canceled?

I think it makes the difference! My daughter got deferred for University of Michigan, Vanderbilt, Wash U, but listed AFROTC IVY as her school choice on application and got admission. Plus I agree all depends on detachment.

The way she is talking now is she want to become a doctor long term in military or outside, but also want to do intelligence when she commission and later if she changes her mind and want to stay in military. Not a problem. She is going to become Air Force Officer one way or another, just trying to see what is best for her situation.

I know that both are excellent schools so it is no wrong choice. Both are amazing schools.

We visited both Yale and USAFA and she loved them both... Now we will go to admitted candidate days on April 20-22. So hopefully she will make her up her mind at that time.
