DD applied pretty early and was accepted to NASS 2/23 last year, if that helps.

If this helps, last year my DD applied to NASS within a couple days of the application opening. She was accepted on February 23, 2016.

For what it is worth, here is the timeline applicable to my DD's appointment to the USNA Class of 2021: Last open item on application cleared (BGO interview submission): 8/23/16 LOA listed on portal: 9/9/16 Nomination received (hard copy in mail): 11/23/16 Nomination recorded on portal: 12/19/16...

DD received letter and very nice certificates from our Congressman via US Mail confirming nominations to USNA and USMA. One excited kid! Good luck to all!

My daughter's last outstanding item was the BGO report, submitted in late August. All other material was submitted in June/July. Hope that helps.

Same thing here ProundDad4. She just checked her CIS and it popped up on top "conditional offer of appointment/LOA" with a little congratulations message. No email, no change on DODMERB. One excited (and relieved) kid! Congrats to your daughter, and good luck with the nomination process.
