I've noticed in videos, during matriculation and everything that you are kind of thrown into a whole heap of working out and stressful activities on your body. It seems like they don't slowly move you into a workout regiment and looks like you're automatically supposed to do 100 pushups, 75...
At The Citadel, if I participate in the Corps of Cadets:
1.) If I join Air Force ROTC - Do they issue ABU's?
2.) If I join Army ROTC - Do they issue ACU's?
3.) When do you receive the cadet grey cloth uniforms?
Thanks
this may be a dumb question; but if i finish my education at citadel for the next 2-3 years, and upon graduation they have no slots open for active duty... would I be able/have a chance to apply to OCS or OBC due to missing out on a slot at the military school? If so, would I be at an advantage?
If I have been in ROTC at the citadel, upon graduation with a good gpa, do I have a chance to commission in the reserves or guard instead of active duty? If so, how is that done?
Also, if you choose Reserves over active, do you have an 8 year commitment then?
So if I attend the citadel or norwich for the rest of my education (3 years) and at the end, is it possible (even if I do well) that I could never even get an active duty or reserves slot to commission into the Army? Especially after paying to go there? I could just end up going home with a...
Yeah I see even some places will let grad. school students into the rotc and commission upon their acceptance of their degree. I've been recommended OTS a bunch...it's also kind of funny, I keep hearing a story brought up about - it's not about how you get the brass, because at the end of the...
Yeah this is some great helpful advice, never knew the air force rotc worked that way...shows how much I know about that. lol I just assumed the rotc programs worked sort of similar, army and air force speaking.
So I could go to the citadel for the rest of my education and at the end, never even get an active duty or reserves slot for my branch of choice? Especially after paying?
Thank you for the helpful insight..VERY Helpful..... HOWEVER, if i choose not to do active duty or just want to do RESERVES; what would be my chance in picking a base...such as Scott Air Force Base or Whiteman AFB?
Also, I can't directly tell you what I'd like to do in the Air Force, cause all...
Right now I'm at a 3.2 CGPA (and plan on doing better); and if I do good in regards to physical fitness and field training.......what if I keep around a 3.1-3.5 CGPA, when I graduate - would I get the crap end of the jobs?
