    USNA Funds

The boy also has YP up the coast for first block. Second block he's supposed to be out on a cruise. Third he's home (plus it's his birthday time). My son did tell me about the funding shortage. He seems to be concerned that they have gotten the short end of the stick, since rules were...

    Telling your parents

Yes, I realize. Back to the main gyst of the thread, my husband (the now-retired military member) was very quiet throughout the entire process. He REALLY wanted it to be our son's decision.

    Telling your parents

I am also a 'rent. The boy (as I call him, but I have two of those, this one being my oldest) came up to me when he was all of 13 stating, "I think I want to go to the academy for college." Now, living on an air force base, this is synonymous with USAFA. Thinking my child was just parroting...

By all means, bring a cell phone. You and your parents will depend upon it quite heavily. My son salivates at getting a "media" chit.

    Joke for the Day

Okay, time for another blond joke (and I preface this with the fact that I am blond, although the shade is dependent on my cosmotologist). Anyhoo..... What do you call a blond with two brain cells? Give up? Pregnant!

    whew... indoc is done

Ask the doc if they inject local anesthesia at the site (in your knee) while you're asleep. That helps. They may be able to smooth the tear with the arthroscopy.

    B-52s Launch with Nukes

How did nukes not show up on a final walk around? My husband's jaw dropped.

    B-52s Launch with Nukes

OMGOSH!!!! When my husband was tactical, they let them take the nukes out once a year, put them on the plane, taxi, then go back to the Tab V's, have the nukes taken off, then wait for another year. I cannot believe that happened!! Ooooooh! :frown:

    BIG Thank You!

I'd like to thank Tactical Nuke for all he does over here. I've been following this one thread over on the "dark side," only lurking, and I come away disgusted EVERY time. The name calling, back biting, caustic/cruel remarks, whining, bi***ing, and all other type of poor sandbox/playground...

    Help

KaMiKaZi- Thank you for explaining the USNA stuff. I have a plebe, but he's so busy right now, he really doesn't have time to take Mommy and Daddy by the hand and teach them. As far as the Hall and Yard, we had to drag my husband away, he was so impressed with it.
