I check everyday too - I would assume you all (as a lat transfer applicant) would get an individual email. It seems odd that you would find out the same time the general public would. But I guess stranger things have happeneded in the Navy.
I know its competitive - she is USNA 21 so a newer LT. She's in Japan currently. She really has done all she cant to set herself up for this and if it doesn't happen, its probable not in the cards!

LTJG submitted a package for a lateral service transfer (Navy) and it is my understanding that the Board convenes tomrrow (8/29/23). Before everyone comes at me and tells me how impossible it is to get a lat transfer approved, I am well aware of the small odds.

Can one of the candidate's parent sign as the witness on the Body Altercation Form that is included in the Acceptance Documents or does it need to be signed by someone outside of the family?
The NROTC representative had access to CFA scores from NASS I believe. Not sure if my daughter arranged for USNA to send the scores or if he somehow could "see" them. She did not have to do the AFA and her file is now marked as Complete.
If you can only submit one letter of recommendation, which is best to ensure that your nom packet is competetive:
a) Principal
b) Counselor
c) Coach/Teacher
Question - applicants status screen states that application was added as of 7/7/16. If we read the FAQ's correctly, the next step is that a packet will come in the mail, correct? It doesn't look as if anything needs to be further initiated on our end when reviewing the website.
Hi all - we are really confused about the candidate supplemental documentation form required as a naturalized citizen (adopted from foreign country).
I am wondering if all the applicant has to do is show certificate of citizenship and/or passport at the interview? I am assuming that they do...
