My DD's BFE arrived today, 360 days after her TWE! Best of luck to all those still waiting!

Yesterday the long-awaited letter arrived for my DD! After the TWE last April, she pulled herself together and is doing a great job in Navy ROTC at her 2nd choice school. As others have said, persistence pays off. Best of luck to all the other "2nd timers" on the roller coaster.

My DD just received an LOA from USNA dated 23 Feb 2015 and she has a nomination from Congresswoman Tsongas and a Presidential nomination. I saw on the USNA Appointment thread that someone from MA-09 (Keating) received an appointment to USNA and USMA. Good luck to all from MA!

There may be more than one slot open for your MOC, who may have nominated more than 14 people, but some nominees may not have been able to attend the ceremony. My DD will not be able to attend her MOC's nomination ceremony because she is attending college out of state.

My DD was in a similar situation. Her university mailed her transcript on January 7th and it just appeared in her portal this afternoon. As long as your transcript is postmarked by January 31st, you are set. Good luck!

Though they may match you with a plebe with similar interests. Last fall my DD, who plays rugby, was matched with a plebe who was on the women's rugby team (as was her roommate).

He might also consider Texas A&M and the Corps of Cadets. TAMU has a great engineering school and the Corps is a senior military college within a research university. (For full disclosure, my DD starts in the Corps of Cadets on Wednesday.)

My DD had her completed application in by the end of August and was notified of a scholarship award on Feb 7th.
