Make sure to do physics. We did a lot of neat things there.

I applied on the first day- and the first hour, actually - that the portal was made available. I heard back from them on the 24th of December with an acceptance letter.

They won't make or break you. Should they have two equal candidates competing for the last slot, essays might matter. If you know how to write you'll be fine.

As long as you have a valid ID (drivers license will suffice) and a valid reason to be on post, you can get into West Point using the Thayer Gate. That is, unless they changed their policy within the past year.
