    Flying First Class

    5. Air Force personnel may not wear their military uniforms when using frequent flyer miles to upgrade to business or first class. Thus, even when an upgrade to business or first class accommodations is legitimate, military personnel should avoid wearing the uniform to avoid the public...

    Bee Sting Allergy

Unfortunately WP denied the waiver for my sons bee sting allergy. AFA obviously waived it, as did NROTC. I would encourage you to still press forward and just have a good plan B. your immunotherapy has started earlier than my sons who didn't even know he had an allergy until the summer...

    Electronic devices (4th class cadets)

There is no easy answer...its squadron specific on everything. My son's squadron got their phones back after A-Day..later than many squads but earlier than others. He got a kindle for Christmas and was allowed to use it. Others in his squadron who already had them, were using them before...

Anyone have experience with military doctors?

Exactly! :thumb: Are you already Army? Dh (medical military) has deployed with Army before, he's biased but I'm sure he'd tell you go AF.

    Ezema/Atopic dermatitis

I believe it also is an issue with the smallpox vaccine which they give for deployments. My dd had excema as a child and dh had to wait until he got to theater to get vaccine so as not to affect her. Interestingly, he has had excema type issues since his last deployment although he had no...

    Is a waiver still possible?

I hope I'm remembering the process properly..my son did his applications 99% independently and I was basically mailbox stalker delivering the letters as they came in. ;) My son is at USAFA so i don't know if USMMA is different, but he got DQ letters from WP, USAFA, and USNA. He also got a...

Need some dog loving help in CT

Ella still needs a home but her listing has been shared by over 80 people on FB, which is about 20 more than when I posted this request, and I know of several emails sent out. Thank you to all who are helping me spread the word.

    Bee Sting Allergy

My son got a waiver for it from USAFA, and I'm pretty sure USNA. (I know USMA denied it.) He still gets his allergy shots at the academy now. He did a special program of shots to speed up immunity and the allergist submitted a lengthy letter for him showing the stats of his likelihood of a...

Need some dog loving help in CT

I checked their list of adoptable pets and they have a few mixes on the list. I called the shelter to check on Ella (she assured me Ella is doing very well.) and to let her know I'd spread the word some more about Ella. She took the AC contact information from me and is going to contact them...
