Thank you! He's not real excited, but I think a year in the Corps will do him a world of good and help him mature some. Plus, he's not too far away. I think he wants to reapply to USAFA and I think being in the Corps will really help him in that regard.
Just got the rejection email. Looks like it's Texas A&M for next year. We're going to take him out to eat and tell him how proud we are of him tonight.
Well, our plan B is in place. My son got notified today that he has a 4 year AFROTC scholarship, so with his other scholarships, Texas A&M is paid for. His first choice is still the USAFA and his status still shows Candidate.
My poor son is so stressed - but I suppose that could ultimately be good for him. I just wish we knew something already so we can get ourselves focused on a course of action. Everything is on hold.
