Just found out treatment for depression was instead labeled as adjustment disorder, now have another dq

Thank you all, as of now, I am currently done seeing therapist, she concurred I didn't need it and we met with parents, we will meet up in about a month to check in and to write a letter of rec (so its more up to date because she knows me now but in three years it might be a little foggy)...

    USMA or USAFA

I'd imagine that unless you are dead set on USMA and USAFA is the plan B, accepting USAFA would be the way to go, deadline is pretty close. Do whatever feels right for you though.

ROTC vs SA vs Enlisting and their dq waiver process

ah, so if I apply to both and both pursue a waiver, even if for same branch one could give and one could decline, or both could give/decline? Sorry lol, I was mainly trying to see the differences between ROTC and SA waiver processes as with looking through here and DODMERB website apparently...

ROTC vs SA vs Enlisting and their dq waiver process

Hello, I have seen varying things about the process for all three of these routes into the military for how they go about getting a waiver, and how hard it is to get a waiver for each group. to my knowledge . . . SA will pursue a waiver if you are considered a competitive candidate for...

joining any rotc unit w/ dq

All of my medical issues that lead to dq's are fully resolved, and it will have been almost three years when I apply in senior year for scholorship and with that a waiver (if scholorship received). I am trying to excel in high school to show that these past medical issues are not a problem, but...

joining any rotc unit w/ dq

Sorry for late response, I am first and foremost interested in NROTC, but am more than happy to do AFROTC or AROTC if that’s where the cards fall. I am not at the point of actively applying for scholarship/waiver yet, but have confirmed with DODMERB I do not meet the standards and have several...

joining any rotc unit w/ dq

Sorry if this may seem like a dumb question, do you only need a waiver for the scholarship/advanced standing? I currently have several medical dq’s and if I don’t get a waiver on first try, I was going to see if I could try join a unit w/out a scholarship and then reapply. Input is appreciated...

Thank you, I have looked over the recent dq standards for adjustment disorder, what it said is that "History of a single adjustment disorder if treated or symptomatic within the previous 6 months, or any history of chronic (lasting longer than 6 months) or recurrent episodes of adjustment...

Just found out treatment for depression was instead labeled as adjustment disorder, now have another dq

After going inpatient for depression incited by a really screwy divorce paired with a (surgically resolved shortly after inpatient) medical condition (PANDAS), I started seeing a therapist, and then switched after two years when parents couldn't agree on something insurance related (i dont...

    Psychiatrist Appointments

Thank you for your input, this is quite helpful, I do have one more question though. If one has to get several waivers (3-4 in my case), does the number of waivers needed affect chances of waivers being approved or is it a system where each is reviewed individually without regard for the others...

    Psychiatrist Appointments

Major Depression disorder is no longer an active diagnosis for me (Dont have it any more. no meds or current treatment apart from some very light counseling(not affiliated with psychiatrist)which is no now longer considered as part of deppression treatment and I will likely be off it very soon...
