    Still Waiting...

DD is also still waiting. Emailed recruiter last week. He replied this was the last week the board was meeting and she should check her status daily...it is Sat. and her status still reads no decision. Very likely she will accept other offers this week and maybe consider OCS after college...

    Who is still waiting?

so disappointed for the April group... grtkidmom, CRONUSmom, and dear harmi, Your kids are very fortunate to have such passionate, supportive, encouraging parents. My 80 year old in-laws called today to say that although we are all too young to believe this "things truly will work out for the...

Hi...Skimmed through quickly so I'm not sure this was mentioned but one of our favorite things to do is sit outside on the Dock at Pussers. Pusser's is in the Waterfront Marriot. Their lunch menu is very good...it gets busy at night and requires a reservation on a nice day. Sitting on the...

    A new level of nail-biting...

falconchic88 we can only assume USNA "found" him a nomination...even more puzzling is the football player with no LOA and no nomination wait listed. The bottom line is, of the four candidates from our high school my daughter was the only selected for a nomination but is the most likely to get...

    A new level of nail-biting...

At the risk of going too far off topic...I thought it worth sharing the experiences of the candidates and our high school. In a graduating class of 531 four kids are candidates for the Naval Academy. One was offered and accepted NAPS in early fall (outstanding athlete), another needed several...

    A new level of nail-biting...

This thread is very interesting...our dear friends decided to encourage their son to apply to USNA , Airforce and ROTC, only after watching my daughter go through the process this year. Before this year they felt he would not have a chance, but now they see how crazy random it all is...

    March CVW - Parent's Impressions

Did they give you any indication of where they were with the appointment process? Did most candidates attending already have their appointment?

    Congressman Call Question?

The letter our DD received when she was nominated indicated that a call would come if they heard of an appointment. We suggested she think through her response and be prepared to express herself in more than a thousand "thank yous"...that call never came. Congrats to you and yours! What fun...
