Appreciate the quick answer. DS has one year of ROTC under his belt. He is coming to the realization that an SA is not the same as 3 mornings of PT per week, one military science class per week and the occasional weekend of field training of ROTC. I'm hoping he does not get moved - not...

Sorry to be a "bit" off topic, but do the other SA's have the same procedures?... What I mean is are they moved to another company, have the 30 day wait period, etc. As a parent of a DS, just wondering how that works and hope I don't have to cross that bridge.

Our MOC does not award principle nominations. Our son was found triple qualified on 03 December, applied and received a competitive nomination from our MOC. No word yet - either good or bad. Should he contact the admin. office or his liason officer, or just sit tight? He'll be submitting...

It also depends on what your school uses for GPA and class rank... Does your school "weight" GPA? What that means if it's "unweighted" a student with a 93 average in basic (not honors or AP) classes has the "same" GPA as a student with a 93 average in honors or AP/college classes. Kinda...

From his MOC and USMA: Application is received and complete. MOC nominates up to 10. He's not on the national waiting list; but the MOC sees him as "strongly qualified". USMA shows him as in a strong congressional district, with lots of competion. He "may not" be the 1st choice -...

Our MOC does not rank the apps. His application portal does not show his current status (except that he's all "green") ; just his name and "Class of 2014". Nothing else but that. Hope that helps.
