Working part time when on lave?

Correct. 2002 and (I think into 2003). Lots of changes since then. That's why I'm asking and appreciate the responses. Believe me, if I could find them (or DS) I would not be asking here.

Working part time when on lave?

I appreciate the responses so far and must apologize for my spelling...meant "leave" in the thread title, not "lave"! DS is a US soccer referee and can pick up some local games when he's on leave. That's where I was going.

Working part time when on lave?

Can a cadet at USMA (while on leave during the summer and not attending other schools, etc.) work part-time to earn a bit of extra money? Are there restrictions as to jobs? Can't find another thread on this one and could not find anything on the USMA site. If I'm missing something; my...

    Plebe summer

Appreciate the quick answer. DS has one year of ROTC under his belt. He is coming to the realization that an SA is not the same as 3 mornings of PT per week, one military science class per week and the occasional weekend of field training of ROTC. I'm hoping he does not get moved - not...

    Plebe summer

Sorry to be a "bit" off topic, but do the other SA's have the same procedures?... What I mean is are they moved to another company, have the 30 day wait period, etc. As a parent of a DS, just wondering how that works and hope I don't have to cross that bridge.

Getting back to the Casio watch... I saw over 20 models of G Shock - some were old and some were new. For those who have purchased one, which model did you get?

AFROTC scholarship dropped after 2 years?

A question to those who can answer this. My son has a friend who has recieved a 4 year Air Force ROTC scholarship. He has completed two years at SUNY ****** (I'm not going to say which college - and IT IS NOT MY SON that I'm asking about). He told our son last week that he was "dropped"...

    Principal Nomination

Our MOC does not award principle nominations. Our son was found triple qualified on 03 December, applied and received a competitive nomination from our MOC. No word yet - either good or bad. Should he contact the admin. office or his liason officer, or just sit tight? He'll be submitting...

    No LOA, but fully qualified

It also depends on what your school uses for GPA and class rank... Does your school "weight" GPA? What that means if it's "unweighted" a student with a 93 average in basic (not honors or AP) classes has the "same" GPA as a student with a 93 average in honors or AP/college classes. Kinda...

    No LOA, but fully qualified

From his MOC and USMA: Application is received and complete. MOC nominates up to 10. He's not on the national waiting list; but the MOC sees him as "strongly qualified". USMA shows him as in a strong congressional district, with lots of competion. He "may not" be the 1st choice -...

    No LOA, but fully qualified

Our MOC does not rank the apps. His application portal does not show his current status (except that he's all "green") ; just his name and "Class of 2014". Nothing else but that. Hope that helps.

    No LOA, but fully qualified

Thanks! Nothing about being on the national wait list in the letter though. What I posted is what he's received. If anyone has a bit more to add, it would be appreciated.

    No LOA, but fully qualified

In early December, my son received a letter from USMA that his application had been reviewed by the admissions board and he was found fully qualified and his application was complete, pending a nomination. This was not a letter of assurance. He received his nomination in late December...
