BCT will be tough at times no matter who you are. Don't worry about finding out everything you can about it, just buy into it and experience it for what it is.

I don't know about other teams, but the USNA swim coach said that they typically take 1 walk-on per year (with a total team size of about 40, which I think is probably pretty close to a soccer team as well).

Failure of just one event on the CFA can mean a fail for the whole test, no matter what the other scores are. Usually USAFA offers a single retake opportunity for candidates who fail the CFA the first time. I do think it's odd that your son was not offered a retake if it was his first try. Maybe...

Actually, on the note of deposits... As I understand it, some civilian colleges may revoke an offer of admission if they learn that you have payed a deposit to another college. I have paid a deposit to my main plan B college to reserve my spot and so I could fill out a housing application...

Well duh, I know that lol. But all appointments are charged to a nomination source. Only one appointment from MO has been posted here and it was a senatorial nom.

I believe this is referring to the candidate activities record (CAR). They should have everything that would be on a resume already through that form.

The dodmerb portal will say "pending waiver review" under each academy that requested a waiver. You have not been denied/granted a waiver until they post a message to your portal that says so.

Could you link me to that post? As a waiver recipient this is very interesting...

Do MOCs usually notify candidates from their slate if they have not been selected? I'm completely in the dark right now as only one person from Missouri has posted an appointment on the forums but it was senatorial.
