If a candidate were to sustain an injury or major illness after they have been appointed, I assume they would need to let the academy and/or dodmerb know. How do they go about doing so? And then what happens?

It could be a longer wait. My son applied Feb 1 or 2 last year, and did not hear he was accepted until mid to late April. So if it doesn't come right away, be patient.

Question - when do all these forms arrive? My son received his appointment package this week from USNA - it included police background check form and information about dental requirements, but nothing about eye exam, and not much paperwork in general. Does the rest of it come after they...

Thank you for your input. Neither the invitation letter nor the confirmation letter said anything about programs for parents - so I was considering sending him by himself. I'm glad I asked.

My son will be attending the USNA Candidate Visit Program in March. Are there any programs for parents to attend during this program? The confirmation letter did not mention any. I'm thinking information sessions, tours, etc. Thanks
