I don't think that could possibly be a good number. 40% of 2,250 is 900........over 70% of the entire class! I would believe that 40% of the NASS attendees go on to complete their applications for nominations....but I doubt that 40% attend the Academy. Tim

I think it is safe to say that we Marines always wanted to be first to fight, first to drink, first to anything. And we always wanted to stand out in a crowd....one way or the other, for better or worse. Oh, and we always had our boots shined and our uniform properly pressed! I think it must...

There are active duty Marines from the Fleet in every class at USNA....so yes, it does happen. I had a similar brush with the Academy...but I got out in '80 at the end of my initial enlistment and went to a civilian school. I don't really regret the move, but I do wonder sometimes......

I am sure they won't care about your weight, so long as you can carry it! If it slows you down or keeps you from otherwise keeping up in PT, well.....:redface::redface:

The packing list on the USNA website says to pack 4 pairs of athletic shorts. Evidently they no longer issue those? Tim
