This Thread was started for those candidates that are waitlisted for direct entry into the Naval Academy. Not NAPS, STEM etc. We were told when we called in to find out the status of my DS application that 200 were waitlisted.

Memphis: You are entirely correct. But it is afterall his choice to remain on the waitlist. His father and I have told him that it in no way will hinder PLan B, so why not just remain on the waitlist. So this is the choice that he made. The Naval Academy is his FIRST choice.

Thanks very much for the info on "Helicopter Moms". I am surley not one of those kind of parents. My son has to make his own mistakes and learn from them. I am much more of an advisor to him.
