Can someone enlighten me on the new process for appointments (new to me, anyway)? My friend’s son received the congressional nomination and is waiting to see if he receives the appointment from USAFA. It used to be that if you had a Congressional nomination you were pretty much a shoo-in for an...
Good luck, Braeden. I think you've received some very useful advice here. I admire your mature responses, too. Our son is where you are now several years ago. He is now class of 2020 at USAFA.
Deborah, your son is spot on. [emoji4] Our son was a preppie last year. He went through the same thing. They take care of everything themselves. Your job, as a Mom, has definitely gotten easier. Just make sure that table is set with all his favorites for Thanksgiving! That's what he truly...
Thanks Mike! We paid our way at the bar but felt awkward eating the food. Our son is class of 2020 (Prep School last year) and my husband is a '79er. We will "like" the Facebook page. We are not on on this forum too often, but will check in more! We bought season tickets this year and hope...
We went to Thudgate a couple times last year. It really is quite the meeting place! My question is about the food. Who organizes it? Is there a website for Thudgate?

I definitely feel that our son is an adult. A year at the Prep school not only prepared him but it also prepared me, his Mom. He's definitely more of a visitor "home". While that makes me a little sad, it is where we are in life. Our "babies" are growing up!
Does anyone know why a Basic would be moved to the back of the line after being "yelled" at by Cadre? We were watching the KAFA video of the Bus Ride to Footprints and had the pleasure of seeing our son in it. (Yes, it was very exciting!). He is a Preppie so he was a step ahead most Basics...
