The only reason I didn't respond to the somewhat immaturity of his response to call him "obnoxious" and "lacking humility" is due to the fact that many people have already stressed the inappropriateness of his comment. I could have wrote a similar statement and just added how it was unnecessary...

I'm not saying his statement wasn't misguided, because it definitely was, but he didn't say that. He called him misguided, which I feel is an unnecessary personal attack on someone that he had never actually come into contact with.

Did you really think this was necessary? Your kid made it into the USNA, congratulations. Does that give you the right to come off as condescending and arrogant. He "currently" is at USNA and you give him absolutely no respect, essentially thanking everyone who chose to serve, which obviously...
