In our case, the portal was the first to know...followed by letter a couple weeks later. However, DS was offered NROTC ISR back in Nov and it took till about January for the portal to reflect.

I wonder if my own DS is the only one that is not reapplying...or even intending on reapplying...not a parental idea for USNA...he loved NASS...so it's kind of odd....he was convinced that NROTC was the better place by the ISR CDR when he rec'd the scholarship...but maintained he was at least...

Official TWE arrived. So do all the TWE's say the same thing...quite competitive but no final offer...try again next year...to bolster the app...etc...just curious. DS was not lacking anything(could have been a tad higher across the board) IMHO...so I was wondering if there was a way to find...

We're in TX-22 and admissions said DS notification had been mailed (no indication of good or bad) and would be rec'd in 4/5 business days. That was 3/19...Gig 'em! DS did not seem too affected about the likely TWE. I think the not knowing was the hard part...Plan B wavered as Plan A from time...

I appreciate the responses. There was not a lot of information on the actual logistics...but it appears there is a process...we just need to wait and let it happen. So the DS is way athletic (track runner...etc.) but what is the PT they wait for?

How do you go about actually receiving the ROTC funds? Is it through the school or do you send the tuition bill / fees to the unit?

Okay...took your cue...called the congressman's office...said should have been contacted by now all Congressional appts are out for all academies in TX-22. Then I needed to know if something on the way or to wait on housing deposit for Plan B-4 Year NROTC A&M so I emailed the admissions...

Anyone in texas still in the game?

imho, military+engineering --> NROTC A&M is a no brainer...could be plan A or B depending on the student(college exp versus full military exp)

SMMTX, your son and my son have similar stats and similar plan Bs(though it waivers close to a plan A after he visited A&M Corps overnight). At this point, I just want to plan accordingly. Another week passes with no mail from USNA.
