    SMP: pros and cons

Thank you sir. Quite the contrary, AD is what I want. I am sure we will get some help and advice on the future once we know the result of EAs.

    AFROTC - EAs

Quite often recently not to bother him with EAs if that's what you were asking?!

    SMP: pros and cons

Thank you Clarkson for your information. I am wondering if you would suggest AFROTC cadets (non-contracted, not on scholarship) who did not get an EA for FT to switch to AROTC and do SMP if they are indifferent between the two branches, ie. they jobs they want in the military exist in both...

    AFROTC - EAs

I second this. Although my Maj told me face to face it was the case. He was planning on holding the results if they were out during our finals week (March 7- March 11) mainly for concern of affecting our concentration on exams. But then he decided he'd tell us anyway if the results were...

    AFROTC - EAs

I don't know about that. But everything is numbers in the system. You are not a "who" in the system, you are a number with major. Sorry it sounds harsh. But many aspects of you are represented by your commander's ranking which is 50 percent.

    AFROTC - EAs

Hi Tetris, my statement is out of curiosity more than anything. Your numbers are all correct. But I do not understand how your argument is relevant to your previous argument that the 200s/250s should be too concerned. The EAs happen before FT. We are not talking about AFSC slots but tickets...

    AFROTC - EAs

My O-4 told me that the board met up and finished today (the HQ has the results now). The results will reach the det's in about two weeks. Good luck to everyone who is waiting!

    afrotc freeze?

I agree with Pima on choosing the language major for the Express Scholarship. Some languages may be highly sought-after but they are also difficult to learn. Most of the cadets studying foreign languages have the average GPA 2.5-2.8 in my detachment. It could hurt when competing for EA and...

    afrotc freeze?

It makes sense for financial reasons. I mean our year group (FY 13) has over 5,000 people competing for 2,000 Enrollment Allocations (EAs). The AF has got enough people anyway, it needs no incentive to award the students to stay in ROTC.

    afrotc freeze?

Every single one of the In-College scholarship is frozon. I was pratically applying for one of the Express Scholarship back in Sept 2010 but waiting for my PFA result to come out. I passed the PFA in December and went to see the cadre to get the process rolling since Express Scholarship is...

    afrotc freeze?

wow! Just got the word today that there won't be any in-college scholarship until January 2012. Before it was Sept. 2011. Now the walk-on cadets really have no hope because they have to contract in Sept and once contracted, there will be no incentive for the AF to give you a scholarship.

AS500 chances for 2011 enrollment allocation

I think the OP was right calling himself a 500. At our det, 500s were the 200s who did not get EAs during their sophomore year, they come back and try again this year.

    My EA chances?

Pima, out of the six released, I personally know 4 and one is a tech major (physics). I do not know for sure, but I agree with you on the GPA, it really matters! And my guess is those who were let go did not have above 3.1 GPA. It was a hard choice for the cadre to let them go especially some...

    My EA chances?

One benefit you receive as a tech-major is (just learned it) the AFHQ will rank all the tech-majors and select first. Those who are not selected in the "tech board" then will be ranked with all the non-tech people and go from there. This is something our AS instructor told us. I am an AS 250...
