Attending AFROTC with a different detachment

Hi, Let's say Im attending San Jose State for example, but I want to attend UC Berkeley's AFROTC. If I enroll as a student in a "cross-town" contract with Berkeley, such as a community college, and only take the AFROTC class at that college, is it possible to attend ROTC at Berkeley, even though...

Can you complete AF/NROTC while doing your master's degree?

AFROTC I can pay on my own without a scholarship, the reason I'm asking is because I'll get my citizenship senior year, and the 3rd and 4th years of ROTC require citizenship

    AFROTC while in Reserves/ANG?

Hello, I'm not a citizen. Let's say I join the Air Force Reserves or National Guard to get my citizenship, can I do AFROTC after Basic and Tech School? Is there anything to prevent me from being deployed and/or will I get a conditional release? Another idea is that I join the reserves in...

    Non-Citizen's plan

Thanks Thanks so much for the help. I'm currently 16, and by the time I get my Green Card I'll be 18. By the time I get citizenship, I'll be 24. However I still have one more question: If I have outstanding academics, and everything the Academy wants, what happens if my CO doesn't...

    Non-Citizen's plan

Hi, I also posted this in the USNA Forums and would like different opinions. I'm currently a sophomore in High School. I applied for a Greencard in 2004, and I will get it in around 2 years, before I graduate High School. My goal is to attend the Air Force or Naval Academy, however by the...

Please help with my plan as a non-citizen

Update Hi, sorry for bumping this thread up so much. I contacted my local representative, and told him about my situation. He said that it is not in his power to speed up my citizenship. Should I contact a senator, or will he or she probably not be able to do anything either? Thanks.

Please help with my plan as a non-citizen

Thanks man. Does my enlistment time stop while in the academy, or when I graduate will I still have some years left? Thanks. The citizenship that Navy provides will work for USNA no problem, correct? Sorry for asking so many questions, it's just really important to me aha

Please help with my plan as a non-citizen

Thanks Thanks for the help. I called the admissions office, they transferred me to a fleet director or something. He didn't pick up.. Called like 4 times and it keeps saying he is unavailable. Also, if I do get into academy, when I get out, I still need to fufill my enlistment contract, correct?

Please help with my plan as a non-citizen

Thank you so much. Problem is, sorry for not clarifying, I signed up for greencard like 12 years ago, we just got a letter saying we would get it in 2-3 years... So I made this thread assuming that it wouldn't matter if I had it now or in 3 years, sorry. I will be eligible for USNA citizenship...

Please help with my plan as a non-citizen

Hello everyone, I am currently a freshman in high school. I hope to attend USNA and then possibly go on to BUD/S. Problem is, I have a greencard but not a citizenship, which I will normally get when I am 26 years old. I know the Navy offers quick citizenship if you join, after 6 months. So...
