OH-4What district in Ohio?
OH-4What district in Ohio?
Probably late February to early March. Potentially even next week with seventh semester transcripts becoming mandatory yesterday. I talked with a Navy BGO and he told me most appointments for them will be going out late February to March so I'd assume it's similar. These are slowly coming in; when will they open up the floodgates?
Congrats on your son's appointment! I PM'd you a message if you could take a look at it. Once again, congrats!OH-4
Very interesting, thanks. I wonder if we have had that big February spike yet this year or not?I posted something similar in the USNA waiting and speculating thread, but here are the stats from Class of 2027. It might give you an idea of when things happen. Disclaimer: past performance does not indicate future results. This is based on a small sample size of SAF posters that may be biased in unknown ways (or even known ways!).

For the Class of 2026, the flow of appointments was more steady per week from December until through February. The Co'26 list of appointments reached 75% by the first week of March. The proportion of appointments handed out in Co'27 seems to be roughly the same at the beginning of March. So it may be that there are two more weeks of quite a few appointments through the beginning of March then the pace will slow down until the end of April.Very interesting, thanks. I thought majority was supposed to be from March- AprilI posted something similar in the USNA waiting and speculating thread, but here are the stats from Class of 2027. No, it's a trickle in late March and April usually. Over half of the class has already been appointed.I thought majority was supposed to be from March- April
How do you know that it's akready been half? No, it's a trickle in late March and April usually. Over half of the class has already been appointed.
All the nominations had to be in by January 31st. MOC-435, Senatorial-100, Presidential-100, NWL- top 150. Considering there is about 1200 cadets in a class and 785 appointments that are guaranteed to be out then yes there has been over half. I wouldn't loose hope over that, with seventh semester transcripts being mandatory now the committee is probably sending out the rest of the appointments. So if you are 3Q'd with Noms you've got a pretty good shot but I'm just parroting what's already been said. How do you know that it's akready been half?
Thank you for the data. In your opinion where do you think we are now? As in what percent. For the Class of 2026, the flow of appointments was more steady per week from December until through February. I'm in TN07Curious about those from TN. What districts are you in?
That would mean each nominating slate would have been resolved by now. Would that be the case? All the nominations had to be in by January 31st. I'm not sure I understand this chart. Looking at last year's list, it seems the majority of appointments were granted in March. This doesn't reflect that.I posted something similar in the USNA waiting and speculating thread, but here are the stats from Class of 2027. It might give you an idea of when things happen. The results are skewed due to only SAF members being used in the datasetI'm not sure I understand this chart. Looking at last year's list, it seems the majority of appointments were granted in March. This doesn't reflect that.
I don't know how many slates the Committee looks at every time they meet, but I would imagine that if they set the deadline for seventh semester transcripts at a certain date then they probably decide slate winners before then. This is my guess based on the portal saying that "Once all application requirements are on file (marked with a ), including Nominations and 7th Semester Transcripts, your application file will enter the queue for committee review." Stating that perhaps the 7th semester transcripts are crucial in the final decision. That would mean each nominating slate would have been resolved by now. Would that be the case?
I don't know for sure, but most on these forums say SAF represents 10%. There are 91 that have posted appointments on SAF. That would translate into roughly 900 appointments to USMA.How do you know that it's akready been half?
In reality it’s way more variable then that, I doubt it’s hit 900I don't know for sure, but most on these forums say SAF represents 10%. There are 91 that have posted appointments on SAF. That would translate into roughly 900 appointments to USMA.
