Sorry to talk about the *other* academy on this forum, but based off of this logic, I wonder if it applies to Navy too. I have a senator nom for USNA but I have been told by a friend that a recruited athlete with the same senator nom already has been appointed. That senator only had one slot... Do you think I'm screwed and have been doomed to the NWL? Lol, anyways back to the regularly scheduled USAFA talk.
 
Anyone whose LOI went away, have you received a call from your MOC?

You had calls from 3 MOC on the same day? That's pretty cool....not sure if that's sunk in or not but that's not a typical day for an 18/19 year old!

No, I don't think you're screwed.

If that athlete got the senator's slot (he may have been given a Supt's, VP nom, etc. -- you have no way to confirm that), you will be placed into "the pool" because you still received a nomination. If you add up all the noms applied to MOC and other sources, there are still about 200 or so appts that need to be made -- approximately 1200 based on previous numbers. The "pool" is where the SA makes up the difference. Does that make sense?

Congrats to all you were notified of their Appointments. Quite surprised that there weren't more notifications this week. Perhaps, next week is the surge, but really astonished those whose LOI disappeared on the portal weren't notified by now.

agree- my DD's LOI disappeared past Tuesday but haven't heard anything yet. Continuing to "hurry and wait". Best wishes for everyone!
 
according to an ALO I spoke to, the majority of appointments will begin going out on March 20th.

for people who have been notified via phone they were updated, their portal will update on the 20th

I feel like the ALOs are very uncoordinated in the information they have about when the bulk of appointments will go out.
