I am an international candidate from Jordan and I received my appointment letter yesterday to attend USAFA as an international cadet. I have until the 15th of April to accept or decline USAFA's offer. However, I'm still waiting for USMA's decision since I'm also applying there. I don't know if I should wait for USMA's decision hoping it'll come out before the 15th of April or should I just accept USAFA's offer?
I honestly like both academies and I'd love to attend any of them.

don't miss the cut-off; accept what you have, knowing you may or may not get the other appointment. If you get the other appointment and want it, you can then update USAFA and decline.

Accept USAFA now. If you then get an appointment to USMA and prefer USMA, you can accept USMA and withdraw from USAFA.

It is standard practice and happens every year. The only wrong thing would be to keep both for an extended period of time while trying to decide.

As above...accept USAFA now.
You are in good hands either way.

Also, Colorado Springs is beautiful. You will love it in the Rockies.
if you get into USMA, then you can do the soul searching...but for now, take USAFA.

Great!! I didn’t know i can withdraw from USAFA. Is that 100% confirmed? Because i really don’t want to risk it.

Yes. If you are offered a USMA appointment take the time you need to decide up to the USMA deadline, keeping the USAFA appointment.

If you accept USMA, you should then quickly (within a day or two) decline the USAFA appointment. In your case, you should probably decide beforehand what you will do if the USMA appointment comes through. At this stage of the process, USMA would probably give you a fairly short time to decide.

You should not play games and keep both appointments for many weeks or months, or any other college acceptances, but it is common for an applicant to accept an offer and then later decline if they get into a more preferred choice.

Either choice is excellent. Until USMA becomes a reality, proceed as if USAFA is your only option so you don't fall behind with all the paperwork they will require.

USAFA and USMA are both great schools to go to! :D but yes, definitely should accept USAFA and if needed withdraw later if you wish to attend USMA. either way, youre in VERY good hands. (not the best though navy on top)

Thanks! I didn’t know that i can withdraw from USAFA after accepting the offer. (GO ARMYY!!)

Of course, to someone from Jordan, I'd bet that the Hudson Valley would also be quite a great change from home.

It would be freezing and gray--gorgeous autumn leaves and the best football teams and games. However, he should accept USAFA before the 15th and then he can consider...

What are your government’s plans for you following graduation? Are you commissioning into one of your armed services? Serving in government as a civil servant? Which Academy is most complementary to those paths?

What majors interest you? Compare on that point.

All of the 5 U.S. service academies are special in their own way and are in beautiful parts of the country with much to visit in the local area as well as regionally.
