Replying to this thread until appointment/redirection (with a JROTC nom)

This was DD last year- she jumped back into the saddle with ACT testing just three days after her TD (had signed up, just in case) and opening her app as soon as she could. She followed all the "usual" advice people talked about here - went to an SMC/did ROTC, took the "plebe year" schedule, played a sport, active in ROTC and tried to find leadership opps, and spent months and months sorting through the disappointment of getting the TD first time around and used that to inform her essays and interviews. There is TONS of great advice here in the forums for reapplicants!!

That said, I think she (and we as a family) were acutely aware, painfully so, that there are really no guarantees in this process, and as seen this year and every year, many incredibly wonderful and well-qualified kids don't get in, even as reapplicants. While we waited for the news, I took solace in a comment here about the admissions team "sorting through diamonds" in these last few days. We are still in "shock and awe" that dd received an appointment and kind of feel like it was like winning the lottery. We are all holding the experience and opportunity with gratitude and know that DD will do everything in her power to be worthy of the opportunity, and we will do everything we can to support her along the way!

Please keep in mind USNA has said “most will know” their status as of 15 April. Medical issues can go into May and June. There is more waiting ahead for some.
I'm medically qualified is there a reason why I wouldn't get my decision back by tomorrow?

“Most will know.”

You are thinking of your individual situation. USNA is dealing with the aggregate. Your slate(s) should be resolved by now, if you have MOC nom(s), but others on your slate(s) might be hung up somehow - the slate winner might be waiting for medical to resolve in their favor, and if it doesn’t, you might get the offer. Or you are in play for Additional Appointee, but so are many others, and a few more stars have to align. Or…

Class-building is an art and a science. USNA knows you are chomping at the bit to know, but you might be one of the puzzle pieces they are holding in their hand, seeing if there is a fit, taking their time to make a quality decision.

Nicely said!! Congrats to your DD and the family. I have no doubt that she will excel in everything she does.
