We've made across the board increases in text size to make the site easier to read. We appreciate the feedback, as readability is very important to us. Please let us know what you think.

I suggest the addition of a "new posts" button at the bottom margin, next to "home." This will eliminate having either scroll back to the top, or having to hit "home" to get there. This would be especially more convenient on long threads.

I agree. One of my favorite features under the old system was to be able to click on the "last post" button for a thread. Its a quick and easy way to pick up on the back end of a thread. I can't seem to consistently find that option now and spend a lot of time scrolling through posts I have already read in order to get to the bottom. Based on the computer I am on or where I am, I don't always log in when I read posts so I am not always utilizing the features that identify previously read posts.

To do this with the new software, click the thread link to open the thread. Then, on the left side just above the first post (for single page threads) or to the right of the page selection buttons (for multi-page threads) there is a button labeled "Go to First Unread". That will take you to the first unread post.

An alternative is, each post is tagged with a "New" banner in the upper right corner if it's a new post. If you want to re-read old posts, you can do so while using those tags to identify new posts.

I hope that fulfills the functionality you're looking for.

Nested quotes are now enabled. This feature means that if you quote a quote (however many levels deep), the quotes will be nested inside of each other.

Is there a way to add the ability to edit posts at any time? I started a thread that I would like to be able to edit the first post in periodically, instead of having to keep adding posts to it. I know this can be done on other forums. The thread in question is here:

Currently we limit editing in order to maintain the continuity of threads and posts. While there are cases where it may be more convenient to edit posts (such as in your situation), we feel the benefits of limiting post editing outweigh the drawbacks.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for your time.

Ugh! Two more newbies on the forum are using their full name in their handle today.

Any chance of creating a "headline" prompt not to do this when engaged in the user handle creation process?

Any way you could make the link for private messaging other members more visible? Perhaps change inbox to inbox/PM? I have explained on a couple of threads how to click on the members name in the box to the left of their post to access the link to PM, or utilize the inbox tab at the top of the page, but it seems many still can't figure it out. Thanks!

Thank you very much for the feedback. I'm going to look into these over the next few days.

Do you have any control over the symbol that's shown when you "like" something? On the computer, it's fine but on my phone the likes are hearts. Hearts seem too "lovey" for an anonymous forum. Just curious if you are able to change that. Thanks.

Thank you for the feedback. At this time, we're unable to change that.

Status updated.

We've added a list of the 10 most recent threads to the forum home page (http://www.serviceacademyforums.com/index.php). Please let us know what you think.
