In a few short months our DS's, DD's and (poster) awardees will be headed off to begin their journey of becoming a Naval Officer. It's been one crazy and interesting ride for DS, but he is looking forward to meeting his unit in August. Where is everyone, including programmers, headed to this fall?

For those of you who're still waiting on your status, I'm looking forward to hearing where you will be headed as well.

Congratulations to all.

DS's reporting date is two weeks prior to school starting. Those who live out of town, for a nominal fee, USD offers an early move-in date.

DS: University of San Diego

Looks like I will be seeing DS this coming fall! I am currently in the NROTC San Diego Unit and I attend UCSD. If DS needs any advice or help, feel free to reach out to me!

He's looking forward to heading down there this August and will most likely check in early. I appreciate your offer, and will let him know.

Do you know what you'll be doing for your summer cruise?

I've won the Navy Option NROTC to University of Washington- thanks for all your help everyone, and we'll see you in the fleet!

My DS is doing Navy Option NROTC (4-year scholarship) at Carnegie Mellon University. If anyone has any tips or info on the Steel City NROTC Unit, I'd be very interested to hear, thanks so much!

DS -- Rensselaer Polytechnic Inst. - Navy Option..........

Still patiently awaiting final "waiver clearance" from DODMERB. (Was to be in March, now we're a week into May)

Not sure my stomach can handle waiting too much longer. Turned down admission to OSU, Miami (OH), Purdue, Penn St......loved RPI.

Of course, if his waiver doesn't go through, he can still go to RPI....as long as we don't pay our mortgage, insurance, buy food, or anything like that for the next four years. :)

My DD will also be at Carnegie-Mellon on NO scholarship. I would also appreciate any tips or info, thank you!
