Hello all, just a quick thread here to make sure I don't miss anything on I-day.

So when you report, you should have the following things on hand: ncaa eligibility card, copy of immunizations, one of those medical forms(forgot which one), your actual permit to report, and that's really it? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Also, toiletries, underwear, etc. are only optional of course.

Looks like you nailed the required items. Wear your running shoes. Tuck your shirt in.

If you choose to bring extra items such as compression shorts, that is on you. I brought a few pictures of my family. First care package your family can send you snacks, Tide stick, extra compression shorts, underwear, socks and tshirts (if you want them).

Does anybody have a link to the definitive list of items to bring? I know my kid says she knows, but I wouldn't mind seeing it in writing if somebody has it. Better safe and sorry...My last bit of hovering if you will.

Sense of humor is huge. A solid belief in yourself and that you can make it. Willingness to help your classmates.

Your cell phone (turned off) and charger in a ziplock bag labeled with your name.

All due respect, and also with great compassion: let it go now. Your DD has it from here. She (and all the other DSs and DDs) could show up with nothing but ID and PTR and the clothes she's wearing and be absolutely fine. She'll let you know what she needs in her first care package. It'll all be fine!

definitive list of items to bring?

She should have something from USNA that lists those things. As I recall from prior years, the list could vary slightly. Good example of following directions so hopefully your son/daughter has read through all of the materials provided by USNA. If they request you bring something specific that is unique for this year, then I would follow their guidance.

For women, consider bringing a few sports bras. They issue you some but you have much more time to ensure ones you bring from home fit properly.

That impressive. However, that should be an extra large bottle of Advil :).

That is actually only 1 of the boxes. They get issued more than that plus the large bag they get on I Day. They also go to uniform issue probably a few times a week during Plebe Summer where they get fitted for all their uniforms, name tags sewn on, and other things like white works tailored (dont worry new Plebes, they will get tailored in a few days and they get much softer after they are washed!).

My advice: Bring your game face. Despite many people saying you will cherish I Day the rest of your life, the truth is most of the Plebes will be shellshocked when you see them after the Oath of Office. You will have to be strong and encouraging.
