Received a Congressman Scott Tipton (3rd District) nomination to the U.S. Military Academy yesterday on December 11th. I have not heard from the Senators yet.

Yeah, it's tough to really tell who the academies are going to go with. My ACT score is only a 28 and I still got into USAFA SS and USMA SLS. It is my firm belief that my leadership experience through sports and a high class rank got me in. They look for a well rounded candidate!

Most certainly. I contacted my ALO in the fall of my sophomore year and have gotten to know him quite well since. Right now I am a candidate for c/o 2017 with a beautifully written evaluation from my ALO. Keep in mind that not all ALOs will work with you until you are ready to apply.

I do not know how much pull an ALO has on Summer Seminar admissions, but the day after my ALO put in a good word for me I was accepted. Do not lie on your application because even though you might be accepted in to SS, you will most definitely not receive an appointment the following year.
