    SAT scores

I am taking the SAT for a second time on Dec. 3rd, and was wondering what is the latest USNA takes SAT scores? I know it takes a few weeks to get scores, so it could be mid-January by the time scores are in. Thanks

    Firearms at USNA

Are midshipmen allowed to conceal carry pistols on campus, or even own one? I was thinking about this, and was unsure if it was allowed.

    Interesting Article for Possible Candidates

This was posted on USNA Facebook page. It details what you can do to prepare, and apply to USNA. I know most if not all of it has been posted before at one time or another, but it's nice to have it all in one place. I thought someone might be interested.

    Classes

Mainly core, AP/honors classes. Obviously, the more the better. But you should have 4 years of math, English, science, plus a second language (at least 2 hopefully 4 years). Aside from that, just rigorous courses are good. Also, math through pre-calc, and chemistry is required.

    Naval Academy LOA?

I've heard nothing Crair70. I would imagine only the really really highly qualified candidates hear anything this early.

    Applying

It wouldn't hurt at all to apply to all of them. But like Shellz said, if you're not 100% you probably shouldn't go.

    Admissions presentation

I think your right. But as I'm applying, I am trying to find out all the information I can. But I do have a genuine interest in going to USNA. Many of the career opportunities look really cool, (especially flying, which is what I want to do) but surface warfare, subs, SEAls, ect. all look...

    Admissions Board

I was reading through the USNA catalog (not looking for the answer) but found this: "The Naval Academy uses a “rolling admissions”, selection process. The Admissions Board begins meeting in September and evaluates applications as they are completed by candidates" Not really specific but at...

    Candidate Visitation Weekend

Is the invitation letter still sent out in early fall if you are invited to the spring session, or is it later?

    Candidate Visitation Weekend

Hey I heard a little about this, but was unsure of how it works. Who gets invited? Or is it just an open thing? Is there a cost (besides flight/travel)? When is it? If it is a invitation thing, when do you get notified, or a letter or something? I'm interested in going to this, and don't...

    CFA sit-ups question

I have a question about how to train for this. I can do the max 95 sit-ups, but it takes me about 3 minutes. I was wondering, should I continue to to the 95, and try to make them faster, or just do as many as possible in the required 2 minutes? I am also doing other ab workouts, such as...

Do they superscorce the CFA, like taking the best scores from each trial? Or do all the scores have to come from one test?

    Nomination Questions

Helllo, I have a question about the nom. process. My representative has resigned over a scandle, and elections aren't being held until January 31st. I believe that this is the normal deadline for the noms to be submitted to USNA, so does this mean I'm out of a potential nom? Has anyone had...

Send West Point CFA to USNA?

I know they look back at any applications that have changed, which in your case would be a better CFA. So it wouldn't hurt to submit your current CFA if your going to submit another. Doesn't really matter either way, wait or submit.

    Food at USNA

I was just wondering what the food is like. I know before every meal the midshipmen be in formation, and all eat together in the hall, but what do they eat? This isn't really a big deal, but I was just curious.
