Hello all, Just got my commission last Friday, but now I have some questions about what happens next. First - When do I get my new ID card? Some details: When I looked at MyPay and milConnect today, they showed me as being "Separated Air Force ROTC" and "ROTC (Contracted)" respectively...

Another cadet and myself went to a BX with an army captain a couple months ago and we all made separate purchases - none of us were ever asked for ID (except for the driver when going on base). Anyway, i'll bet DD is glad to be done with FT, the food is so much better at the sit down...

I seem to remember the parade being at around 10 for Max 4, so i assume it will be the same for Max 5. Sooo.....Get there before 9 would be my best advice :wink:

So long as you enter in the fall semester of your sophmore year, you shouldn't notice too much of a difference. Things don't heat up until the spring semester of the sophmore year, and one semester is enough time to learn what you're expected to learn in three. Have fun in AFROTC future cadet.

Do pushups until you cannot feel your arms anymore, and cannot physically lift your body - not until it hurts to do them. You should be able to keep going well after the pain starts. Do your pushups, take a short break, do them again, short break. Work on them over the summer - and your...

I'd also suggest adding another dozen pushups to his minute to buff his fitness scores

Make sure to stop your son from any walks upstars or next door in all those military science buildings he visits. He might change his mind on what branch of ROTC to sign up for if he sees a good lookin' set of blues :wink:

Lead Lab is essentially Powerpoint Lab - Briefings of some sort or another seem to take up most of LLAB on most LLABs

If the next field training is like the one this year, With your current stats, high 90s on the PFA, with a top or middle third on ranking should do it. OFC, we've seen just how much it can change from one year to the next. Your ACT score is nicely above average, so it will be used rather...

i believe Max 1 starts in mid-late May. congradulations on getting the easiest Max. Here's hoping i dont get stuck there late july/august *crosses fingers*

well, 77.7%. And i believe one of those not selected was due to an issue with their dodmerb. So i'll call it 80% :)

This year the dets themselves did alot of the cutting process, rather than just sending in EVERYONE's file. It was weeding out those who the cadre deemed 'unworthy' to progress. They were told flat out their chances were poor and encouraged to drop. Our 200 class went from 65 to 36 because of...

Just an update on the numbers - AFROTC commander Colonel Dunn came and spoke to our detachment today. We were told the selection percentage was 89% this year. Not quite 93%, but still darn good.
