Vareporter--if I am mistaken, my apologies. My recollection was that my DS had 30 days to accept, but I may be confusing his AFROTC with another offer he received. To be safe, you should contact the AFROTC HQ to be sure. But again--congratulations!

Vareporter--my DS was also admitted to ERAU and was very impressed. While he chose to apply his AFROTC scholarship to another university, ERAU was a VERY close 2nd choice, as it is an excellent school. FYI, the ERAU AFROTC detachment was awarded the "Right of Line" award this year for "large"...

Vareporter, please also be aware that your DS only has 30 days to accept the ROTC scholarship, while the decisions on his academy applications may not be known for another month or more. So don't delay on the acceptance, and fingers crossed for the BFE. Congratulations to your son!!

Also keep in mind that some universities also offer room & board scholarships to ROTC scholarship recipients. That has saved our DS a LOT of $$, and is just another piece of the puzzle as you consider all options.
