    Acne treatment boundaries

In the eyes of DoD I'm medically qualified to be a AROTC cadet this coming fall; I want to keep it that way. However, I have mild/moderate acne that seems to be escalating with time, so I've decided to go for treatment. Before I go under any type of care I'd like to clear up some points: 1...

Accepting an ROTC Scholarship (all 3)

I seem to remember reading something about accepting multiple scholarships on the AFROTC website; they d'q you. Search everywhere for any info: make sure you know the consequences before you take any action. Good luck!

    AROTC offer deadline

Ok then. Sounds good. I know I'll need a bit of time to decide between the two, assuming I get the AFROTC. If I don't, no decision needed! Thanks!

    AROTC offer deadline

I recently received a scholarship offer from AROTC at my first-choice college. :P ... BUT I was given a deadline (late Feb) that conflicts with my chances for AFROTC, as I will not know if I have been awarded an AF scholarship until after that deadline. And I really want to keep my options...

    Orthodontics

I just went to see an orthodontist, who recommended that I consider traditional/Invisalign braces to fix a bite and crowding problem. How does DoDMERB feel about ROTC (hopefully next fall) and braces? And what about Invisalign? Should I even be thinking about orthodontics right now? Thanks.

    Elusive ROTC Interview

I'm happy to say that my interview went very well. I won't say flawlessly, but I'm quite pleased with how the pieces fell. My interviewing officer and I had a great time, and I think he had just as much fun with the experience as I did. Thanks for helping me prepare, everyone!

    Elusive ROTC Interview

Thanks, Just_A_Mom. :thumb: Thats good to know because I just had knee surgery. Also, do you know if a scholarship potential will be considered by the board before the PFT? Or are only complete profiles reviewed?

    Elusive ROTC Interview

Awesome! Thanks for the confidence boost! I will follow in your daughter's steps and write up a resume. Hopefully I can get my older sister to interview me and help me solidify what I want to say. Can you be awarded a scholarship before you have/pass the DoDMERB? And I found the dates you...

    Elusive ROTC Interview

The time has come for me to have my ROTC interview. I read somewhere that "you should prepare well for your interview!". First of all, do you need to prepare? And HOW do you prepare? I guess I'm pretty lost. Any help would be great. Thanks.

    5 wisdom teeth and DoDMERB?

Well, 'tis the season for wisdom teeth extractions. Should I schedule my surgery after my DoDMERB? (I will be under general anesthesia). Ain't it great when you have five instead of four.......

    DoDMERB and heart defect...??

I was recently (a month) diagnosed with a "borderline heart defect"- right bundle branch block to be exact. And now I'm absolutely mortified that I will be completely denied a medical waiver. I've never had any symptoms, and I've been very active my entire life. Unfortunately, the only reason...

    DoDMERB and knee brace?

I recently had my ACL reconstructed-- right around the same time I received my DoDMERB scheduling notice for ROTC. Surgery went perfectly, and I'm ahead of schedule in recovery with my physical therapist. However, I do have to wear a custom knee brace until next spring. I will have it off...
