I called my BGO's office and they said he's out and won't be back until after my graduation. I tried his cell phone but it sounds like a European ring and he didn't answer, so my parents and I believe that he is overseas.

That was not a bad decision. NASS is just a recruitment tool to show an example of the Academy to prospective candidates. If she already knows that that's where she wants to go, then it's no problem at all that she couldn't go. It's good that she went to the soccer camp because it will show them...

How is July 4th observed at the Academy? It's during Plebe Summer, but is listed on the calendar as an observed holiday. Is there special liberty or extra pushups or what?
