    NASS Applicant

Wow, if these were the candidate's scores, I am not sure I would have gotten into NASS this year. But, to re-iterate what was said earlier, the CVW is incredibly valuable. The plebe I dragged with and her roommates that attended NASS referred to it as "Summer Scaminar." Not sure how accurate...

Great critique on the service academies

Also, I believe Dr. Fleming was misguided in his thought that ROTC students do not receive military pay. I was interested in ROTC, and my recruiter specifically told me that I would receive some sort of pay monthly. Maybe I'm incorrect, but I don't think it's that significant of a difference...

my own question Not to leech off of your original question, but as theyre related, I figured this would be the place to ask. I received an LOA to one SA, but would prefer another. Some Questions

Well, I can't speak for the DoDMERB process. I was fully qualified my first time through and I'm no doctor. However, I can speak for friends who were medically disqualified. The way to be taken seriously for a waiver is by being a really really desirable candidate. Especially with class sizes...

Hi All, I'm trying to complete the third essay for this year's candidates, and the prompt asks you to explain an ethical dilemma or setback you have experienced and how you dealt with it. The problem is, I can't really think of something that has significantly affected me like that. Any...

    Class rigor, am I okay?

also, find out about your class profile. at USAFA, they re-rank your gpas, so an AP or IB class will add an extra point (5.0 instead of 4.0 for an A) and honors classes add half a point. your class profile makes a difference because, if 95% or more of your school graduates to a 4-year college...

My area admissions rep told me that the English and Writing test is not being counted for your admissions score. they require it because they are gathering data to see how to assign points for it to later years in their applications.

    SSK

I had to have my official score reports sent into wp via Collegeboard and ACT Central, if DS registered online, he should be able to do this as well. SAT scores are free to send for a certain number of reports, ACTs cost $10. After a few days, these scores should appear in his portal.
