    AFROTC Reserve Service?

Ok, thanks for the response. When you say no drilling, you mean that there is not requirement for the 1 weekend/month, 2 weeks/year training?

    AFROTC Reserve Service?

I am an AFROTC scholarship recipient, and will be a freshman in the fall. I have never read anything about reserve service in all of my research in regards to Air Force ROTC, but rather that one incurs a minimum of 4 years Active-Duty obligation upon commissioning. However, in recent emails...

    Stipend

I have received a 4 year Type 7 AFROTC scholarship. I will be attending the University of Colorado, Boulder (IS). I have read on here that my stipend starts once I contract, however a member of the det told me that I will begin receiving it once school starts my freshman year, even if I have not...

    Which PFA for EA?

I will be a freshman next year doing AFROTC, and I have a question about the long-off Enrollment Allocations for SFT. The question is this: For the ranking to earn an EA, is the most recent PFA the only one that matters? For example, if one were to get an 80, then 85, then 90, then 95...

    On-Campus vs. Cross Town AFROTC

Thanks for the info! To add another question... What are the advantages/disadvantages of a large det? The flagship school is quite large, with around 100 cadets. To me, it seems as though this would provide me with some opportunities already in place, better facilities, etc. However, a...

    On-Campus vs. Cross Town AFROTC

Thanks all for the informative replies. My two schools are very different, one being the large State flagship (about 15 min from home) and a small, private Jesuit institution (~8 hr drive). I have been accepted into a few programs at the state flagship, so even though I prefer a smaller school...

    On-Campus vs. Cross Town AFROTC

I am looking at a few schools and they are pretty even to me right now (though they are very different schools!). One has an on-campus detachment, which hosts about 12 schools (~100 cadets total). The other is a cross-town (about 50 cadets total, 7 schools). Is it really nice to have the det...

    AFROTC "edge"?

Hi all- I am an AFROTC scholarship recipient. I have unfortunately been put on the waitlist at my dream school, Notre Dame. While I am dissapointed by this, I am not discouraged! I will do whatever it takes to attend this fall... I emailed ND's detachment commander to ask him to formally...

    Depression

Did you disclose your marijuana usage during your interview? If not, this could be a very large problem. If you did, I still see a waiver unlikely as depression and mental conditions are usually big red flags from my experience. However, these are just my assumptions and I am in no way an expert.

    AFROTC Scholarship?

Alright, I hate to bring up an old thread, but I thought I would give an update and see if some more opinions are available. The hip specialist was very helpful, it turns out that I had a torn labrum in the hip as well. No other doctor was able to find it, but I underwent an arthroscopic...

    AFROTC Scholarship?

Thank you all for your comments thus far. More are always appreciated. Do you think, barring a medical DQ, that I have a legitimate shot at a scholarship? I would be fine with a Type 7
