    Room and Board

Some ROTC scholarships offer free or discounted room and board through the schools. Most of the schools I applied to for the Army ROTC scholarship offered the free room and board incentive.

Mr. Mullen and DODMERB FAN CLUB!

I haven't gotten all the way through the medical red tape caused by my DQs, but I am positive my chances of becoming medically qualified for AROTC have not been killed due in part by Mr. Mullen. Just giving credit where credit is due: Thank you Mr.Mullen!:thumb:

Sent in waivers for DQs two weeks ago...

Okay, About 2 weeks ago I received my disqualification letter from DoDMERB for the following: 1.) diplopia 2.) shoulder instability, history of A little background with the shoulder problem. I went to my ortho a month ago for an evaluation and told him I had trouble inflexible...

    Marquette arotc problem!!!!!!

PMSs told me it does not make too much of a difference. It's not like you can have a 3.0 or something, get accepted by AROTC at MIT and get accepted to MIT because AROTC accepted you... I think it would help though if you were right on the line( 25th percentile perhaps).

Have not appeared on any of the decision boards for Army ROTC

Well... I actually figured that out on my own. I was boarded in September... Once one is boarded, they are on the Order of Merit List. And depending on the new guys boarded each month, I go up or down on the OML. Once I reach a high enough percentile on the OML, I will get the scholarship. I...

Have not appeared on any of the decision boards for Army ROTC

I got in touch with the person in charge of processing my packet. Apparently I was on the September board, but not on the November or October board. The person at Cadet Command told me I would appear on the next 5 boards and hear some kind of final decision by June 1st.

Have not appeared on any of the decision boards for Army ROTC

It just shows a remedial for a ENT consult. Says nothing about it revoking my eligibility for the decision board. To add to the problems, I am stuck in a long series of ortho appointments, MRIs, etc. that is going to drag on for a while. This is completely unfair!:thumbdown::thumbdown:

Have not appeared on any of the decision boards for Army ROTC

REMEDIALS!? I was told a while ago by various people( from DoDMERB, AROTC, etc.) that those had no bearing on the board...:eek::frown:

Have not appeared on any of the decision boards for Army ROTC

Has anyone else had this problem? I asked the PMSs at the schools on my school of intent list and they told me I did not appear on the decision boards for Sep, Oct, or Nov even though I completed my packet in August. This is a real let down as I was accepted to my first choice school.:frown...

    Elusive ROTC Interview

When I went to my interview, I wore just Khaki shorts and a polo, but the 2LT did not care as we did the APFT once I arrived. They did not want me to change for the face-to-face part of the interview. The officers spoke with me while I was sweating in PT cloths. The best advise I would give...

    Elusive ROTC Interview

Yeah, I forgot to mention that each school has limited spaces. However, last year the schools also got extra slots for additional applicants as late as July due to the increase in demand for comissioned officers. The PMSs I spoke with are, however, unsure if that will be the case. The new...

    Elusive ROTC Interview

I am applying for the scholarship right now. I know 100% that there will be 5 offers made should an applicant be selected for the scholarship. The PMS I spoke to said the top 5 schools on the school of intent list on my application. And of course you need to be accepted in the school for the...

    Processing time for waivers?

I am asking only because I won't be able to complete my ENT consult until then. I only can do my repeat audio later this week. However, like I said before I may get two DQs( double vision and one for the left ear if the audio and ENT come up with something bad). I know this is just an...

    Processing time for waivers?

I am sure I'll need a waiver for my diplopia. I would like to know how long would take for Army ROTC to respond to the waiver request. Also, I just got another remedial on dodmets.com telling me to take an Ear Nose and Throat consult. I may not be able to get to the ENT consult for a little...
