My DS is a candidate for USNA but would happily accept a spot in the Foundation program. I am wondering if those invites have already gone out or if they trickle out after January along the lines of appointments to USNA. Is the timeline roughly the same?

USNA Class of 2017 Appoinment Thread I just looked up this same thread from last year and as of December 31, 2011 there were 24 appointments recorded, so it seems as if we are running at about the same pace as last year.

I am just wondering how they could already reject you unless your file was already complete! Seems like they would have waited for the full picture of you as a "whole person." Was your file complete except for the nomination?
