    FAMU Sideload scholarships

Anyone know how many sideload scholarships are given out to FAMU's NROTC unit? Also, what are the chances of receiving Advanced Standing at this unit?

Checked my status today, I was denied:(

Thanks Kinnem! Your input is always valued! UNF is not my number one college choice, but JU's unit awarded side load scholarships to 7 out of the 9 that put in packages. I know if I want one, this unit will help me the most. After all, my ultimate goal is to become an officer, I shouldn't be so...

Checked my status today, I was denied:(

My status said: "We are sorry, you were not selected for a scholarship. You will receive a letter explaining other options available to you." I am very sad about this, but luckily I have plan B underway. I will be going to the University of North Florida, and participating at Jacksonville...

    Jacksonville University NROTC unit info?

Congrats in the scholarship!! And thanks for the info, I am now sure I will commit to this unit, I spoke with the LT there and he told me my best bet is to go there because I'd have a better chance at a 3 yr scholarship.

Can anyone PLEASE explain this to me?!!!

Okay, so I was told I should look into applying for the MSI scholarship at FAMU, and as I'm reading the requirements I come across this paragraph, here's what it says: "Demonstrate high academic performance and a strong background in math and science from high school or in a college...

    Info on FAMU's NROTC Unit?

You have no idea how happy I am to hear this. In my mind, I'm thinking that becoming a college programmer is as competitive as the national scholarship. I guess I shouldn't be too worried about it. And yes you are right, the 2 units I'm applying to are FAMU (FSU) and JU (UNF), both have a formal...

    Info on FAMU's NROTC Unit?

Does anyone know anything about this unit? Im going to attend FSU, but I've applied to FAMU's college program. One thing I do know, their staff is not very professional. I call and call, no one answers. They do not reply to any emails, and when they DO finally answer their phone, they rush...

    NROTC scholarship notification

Mine hasn't changed at all. I applied April 30th 2012, it's been almost an entire year. Honestly, I've already started to contact units about joining their college program because I'm seriously starting to lose hope :(

    ROTC Eligibility Question

All depends on how many college credits u have. If ur under 30, go ahead and redo the application the same as the first time.

    NROTC 2013 students / parents

Honestly, I'm surprised u haven't heard back yet! U have great stats, better than mine actually. I also didn't get pick for the first 2 boards, but I'm still hopeful. It's basically a waiting game...which sucks for us. But look into NUPOC, it's honestly a better deal if u ask me.

2013 NROTC transfer applicant! Someone help!

Pima, I'm ABSOLUTELY AND POSITIVELY sure this is what I want to do. Ive wanted to do this since high school, but my mother made some poor choices, and i was forced to work at an early age - leaving no time for ROTC. When i realized i could still do it as a freshman in college i took the...

2013 NROTC transfer applicant! Someone help!

I believe I'm in a unique situation right now, and my recruiters aren't helping me AT ALL. In March of 2012, I applied for the 2013 NROTC scholarship. I applied so early because they told me that after March it would be too late because my Spring semester college credits would count against me...
