To those who just finished Beast

Run run run run and then run some more now. Then go run some more. Get your boots when you get the shoe and boot letter - do not feel at all embarrassed wearing them to school - break all foot wear in. You do not want blisters and problems with your feet. Go run some more. Every...

    Transcripts

The first and all important point is to look through your immediate concerns and decide if you wish to pursue a "profession of arms" career as a US Army officer. Consider that question carefully and do not have West Point as part of your consideration. If you insist that West Point is the only...

    Physical Conditioning for Beast Barracks

In shape for Beast It is a no brainer to get in the best possible physical shape you can be in for R-Day. The last thing want is to be worried about finishing a run or in agony in a run. West Point is very very hilly. Also the first focus by the officers leading Beast will be to really try...

To those who have been offered admission

Every year there are tragic events as seemingly trivial social events result in loss of admission. Jeesh, I cannot answer that question. One thing that might help is go and visit and go through the process of what it involves to enlist with the local Army and Navy recruiter. Talk and listen...

To those who have been offered admission

    SLS Bad idea?

SLS I do not think SLS helps you in your admission standing to West Point. In fact, having a Cow conduct your interview might not be helpful and the CFA test adminstered then is often somewhat more difficult as the cadet administering the test will be fanatical about correct form and so on...

    Getting Complicated

DODMERB seems to be your sole concern. I do not understand your view that the process is complicated, especially for someone who seems to have a solid application. I would understand if you are frustrated. The medical waiver to allergic response to yellow jacket sting is no small matter...

    Title 9

applies Title IX rules apply just as any NCAA rules apply for recruited athletes, etc. Title IX is pro rata per % female populace of the school. One thing that is obvious as you explore West Point - male or female, money is spent lavishly for facilities and support of both NCAA Varsity...
