    USNA Candidate Visit Weekend

My DS has been offered and accepted an appointment for the Class of 2017. He received an invite for a CVW, should he still go? Also, he did attend NASS last year, so he doesn't want to take the opportunity/slot away from another kid to experience the USNA. Are CVW's something definitely...

Why so quiet on the USNA appointments?

Congratulations to your DD. My DS has heard from one SA so far, but really wants to hear either way from USNA. If USNA is not the place where God wants him to be, we will understand. His will, not ours!

Why so quiet on the USNA appointments?

Is it just me, or do the BFE comments and appointments notifications seem to be extra quiet this past week? WAITING, WAITING, WAITING.....

    Package in the queue

My DS called admissions today and was told his package was in the queue to be reviewed by the board. Does anyone know how long this takes? Do they go state by state? Do they meet daily? Thanks!

    Helicopter parents and you

Cultural Differences I think it is important to recognize that relationships between children and parents significantly vary depending on the family's culture. In some cultures, the Mom is expected to do just about everything for their children, especially their sons. They virtually live for...

    Letter of Intent

No the letter didn't state anything along those lines, so I thought it was ok for him to sign. He has multiple nominations to Naval Academy so I want him to see how things shake out. Thank you for replying.

    Letter of Intent

Are letters of intent legally binding? My son signed a letter from another academy that stated, " At this time, I intend to accept....." He hasn't heard from USNA as of yet and has nominations so I wonder if he should have signed the letter.
