Alright, so I don't really know what all of Swab Summer entails, and how it's broken up. I'm very familiar with the Air Force Academy's BCT program and how it is broken up into two sections, BCT 1 and BCT 2. Is this somewhat similar at the Coast Guard Academy? Can anyone share what they know...

I'm in touch with quite a few people who have been waitlisted for AIM and no one has heard a single thing yet. So I guess tomorrow is the day!

I just got my scores back from the SAT and I got an 1800 overall, but only scored a 500 on the math, which clearly sucks. Do I have to report my SAT scores when I apply, as long as I have my ACT scores (which I got a 27 composite)? If not, would October be too late to re-take my SAT?

I heard that people on the AIM waiting list are being chosen by lottery. Is that true?

They told us we would know by June 1st

Also, do you get to know everyone in your graduating class really well by the time you're a senior?

Her little sister Leah is a freshman in my brother's squad at USAFA... Kathryn has helped me a ton with getting informed on CGA stuff

It's really not a nice way of being rejected... it's saying there's a chance you can get in, depending on whether someone who got in can't make the program.

I was waitlisted too. I have a friend who was also waitlisted several years back, got in to the program, and went on to become a cadet at CGA. She graduates this year

I was wondering the same thing. I just really want to know really soon if I got in or not. But I'm fairly certain they'll notify us by e-mail.

My dad lied as well about the same things when going into USAFA, and again when going into pilot training. When it came time for his commission out of pilot training, the question came up again. He was really conflicted about what to do, but eventually told the truth, despite what everyone else...

That's exactly what happened to my brother. He failed the color vision test and got an appointment to USAFA.

So, a lot of comments have been thrown around that CGA is much more competitive to get an appointment than any of the other SA's, and I've heard for reasons like because of the Congressional Nominations and because it's much smaller than USNA, USMA, and USAFA. How does the congressional...

You still have a high GPA, regardless of the significant grade drop. My Freshman and Sophomore year, I simply didn't care about my grades, which brought my GPA far lower than yours is right now. Plus, you still have the clear motivation to raise your grades, and you have time. Not a lot of time...
