your best bet is to choose one or the other. Remember the USMC PFT is alot different than the USN PFT. I got a NROTCMC scholarship so if you have any questions just PM me.
1. Check the link above.
2. Atleast a 1000 on your SAT (out of the math and verbal sections but get above an 1100 to have a better chance)
You need atleast a first class PFT score (225) to be considered (or thats what i was told).
3. They don't look at your high school GPA so don't worry...
maximus, my online status was pretty messed up during the selection process in november too. I was told it was no big deal, but if you wanna play it safe call the captain your son worked with.
I got this sick 10 day pullup workout from military.com that will deff. help increase your max pullups. I do it about once every two months or so because its rough on your hands (lifting after it is hell).
Odd Days:
Pyramid Workout
start with 1 pullup and work your way to 10 than go down...
yea im going to VMI. Future rat mass 2010+3.
For the record dont start up a facebook group, I heard people took alotta of crap for that.
Are you doing an overnite stay??
A while back i was accepted into VMI and was told it was normal admissions, not early decision. Recently, I received two letters from VMI that say differently. The first letter is from the Financial Aid Office that says I have been appointed to the VMI class of 2013 under the early decision...
hooah, if u get turned away from it (u mite get sum1 who wont help u) try calling a different day.
I called a week ago and the guy refused to tell me anything.
Today a woman picked up and she was insanely nice about it and told me all the info.
Either way you'll hear about it before...
everything went in by the last week of october. I didnt receive a letter yet, but i called the 703 number and they told me I'd be receiving a letter soon.
Yeah its a tough call but idk if i get the choose what college they give the nrotc for, either way im happy
I tried that number again and I was told I got a 4 year NROTC MC scholarship and that it would be for one of my top two schools, VMI or Fordham
thanx Maximus for the number
Maximus, I just tried to call the USMC number on the link you posted and i was told they couldnt release my status and I should look on the NROTC website. What number did you call?
