usna1985 said it best. Their plan Bs. There was one prior who decided to return to the fleet. He'll pick up where he left off on his contract.

    Texas Appointee Banquet

I think you are right about it being a reception rather than a banquet. Poor choice of wording on my part. An O-8 Medal of Honor recipient is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at this event. It is on June 26th. I don't know about the other academies, but it's days before Navy's I-Day. Yes, I...

    Texas Appointee Banquet

I received an invitation both by email and snail mail from Senator Cornyn's office inviting me to an appointee banquet in San Antonio later this month. I have RSVPd and want to know if anyone else here will be going.

They must be conservative and can't be worn in formation. That's as specific as the uniform regs get. I stayed all black for mine.

I noticed your DS and I received a nomination and appointment from the same MOC (Pete Gallego). It's good to know I'll have a classmate from my district joining me this summer. There are a couple others I know representing the TX-23 nomination. Would you be so kind as to PM me?

    Lion Encounter

I don't care what the detailers do to me at USNA now. Nothing will ever be as terrifying to me as coming face to face with a mountain lion and having a staredown with it after work today. I have never been so petrified in my life. Luckily for me, she (assuming it was a female based on its size)...
