This is just my view on it-not official info - just how military boards have been explained to me by my husband. I think now that all the applications are in as of Jan 31st, they will start notifying those who are not getting the scholarship. They have a certain number of scholarships they know...

Just looked and my DS portal says the same thing...we are sorry you were not selected for a scholarship. You will receive a letter explaining other options available to you. Seems like a lot of disappointing updates today, I am a bit surprised so many of us on here are getting the same message...

Updated info My DS got an email response back from our area NROTC coordinator today saying: there are 5 NROTC boards left to be conducted and the results from a previous board should be released by Friday this week. The latest you will hear a final board result yes or no will be late April...

We are getting very anxious in our house waiting for some NROTC news...we have already been waiting 5 months and have up to 3 more months before we could finally hear something. Meanwhile DS is working on Plan B-Z but would really just like to know one way or another!

Updating scores for NROTC My son had his completed NROTC packet submitted in August, took the ACT again in OCT and scored better so we wanted to update his new scores with the NROTC. My son was able to update his already submitted NROTC packet with his newest and better Oct 2013 ACT scores...

My sons NROTC recruiter said the boards did meet in October but notifications have been delayed because of the government shutdown and he is hoping they will start coming out in the next two weeks. He also said there are 12 boards scheduled, 2 are scheduled for November.
